Kona

Due to Covid our yearly ABC supply trip was cancelled so this year ABC went the extra mile to give everyone a great vacation.  This year the trip was to Kona.  

We had short layover in Honolulu and then we were off to Kona.  

WE stayed at Waikoloa Resort.  It was a beautiful Resort.  

It was so nice being in the sun and having a break from everything.  

Typically when we go on these trips I’m so exhausted preparing for it that I spend the majority of the trip sleeping.  But this year there wasn’t theater, ballroom, basketball, football, etc.  My kids are finally old enough that I don’t have to stress about figuring out where to bounce them around to so that they can be cared for while we are away.  

So this year we were adventurous and had a blast.

We went to the southern part of the island to do some cliff jumping.  

It was a 40-50 foot drop.  I just had to beat Adam and jump off the cliff before him.  

One of the excursions we went on was a mana ray dive.  This was so scary! And yet such an awesome experience.  

Adam and I were up around 4:30-5:00 am each morning and we were off on an adventure.  

One day we drove to the opposite side of the Island to do some hiking and see the volcano. 

We went through this lava tunnel.  

They had a huge super bowl party.

One night we had dinner and a hula show.

It was also Chinese New Years so one night we went to a Chinese theme dinner with a dragon dancing show. 

We did some snorkeling and went whale watching.  It was a perfect time of year to see the whales.  

It is such an energy boast to get some sun in the middle of the winter.
