Birthday number 10

It’s hard to believe 10 years have passed since Gabe was born.  We had a wonderful day.  Adam and I went to the salt lake temple for a couple of hours and then we went and had dinner together as a family at Gabe grave.

School routines

School puts a lot of routine in our schedule.  We seem to be really busy all the time but it is hard to explain, or too boring, to go through our routine. 

After several doctors appointments and quotes we finally found the right person to work on Briggs teeth. This poor boy is missing his two incisors so between that and a really bad over bite he will most likely be in braces for the next 3 years.

Ila has loved having Pearl live closer.  



At my kids charter schools I am required to put in 80 hours of volunteer hours.  I have signed up to do the monthly bulletin board for her class.  This was my first month.

Wild side

I have decided Adam must be going through a little mid life crisis.  Or he may just need a different way to escape.  He has worked so hard for so many years building up his business that I guess he just needed to remember his wild side.  He bought a used/new Harley motorcycle.  

Let me insert here that I was totally against it and it scares me to death.

He and his friend Kemo and a few other friends took the day and went on a ride.  They ended up at this old fashion saloon, where a movie was being filmed.  I guess it is a travel Utah movie so if you ever see some bikers on tv riding away from this saloon it is probably Adam and his friends.

He has had a little mishaps from his riding.  One morning a bee flew into his helmet and stung him on the ear.  His ear was huge and puss was draining from it.  We didn’t think Adam was allergic to bees but a few days after his ear got better he was stung again!  This time he was cleaning his truck and it stung him on his hand.  Unfortunately the same thing happened and his hand swelled up.

This is not the height of the swelling.  He couldn’t even make a fist one day with his hand.

Adam also flew to California for a quick 1 1/2 day trip.  His mission president passed away.  Adam was really close with his mission president and has spent time with him after his mission. 

Im so thankful

As I returned from my morning of carpool that started at 6:15 and ended at 8:30 I couldn't help but feel over whelmed by how blessed I feel.  I never imagined that I would be so blessed in my life.
I am so thankful for my husband.  He works so hard and he plays hard.  We have been so blessed in his business.  The economy has been good and has helped to provide for us.
I am so thankful for my children, all 4.  We have been blessed with good kids.  They each have their struggles but I wouldn't trade any of their trials because it has made them into the great kids.  Im so thankful that my family is healthy and happy.  I can't believe we have been blessed with great health. I feel like it is a miracle to have been blessed with good health.
I am so grateful that I have been able to be a stay at home mother.  I can't believe that in such a challenging time in life I can be at home with my children and be part of their lives.
I am thankful for the beautiful place that we live.  I love looking up at the temple.  I love that the temple stands above the city and seems to shelter us.
I am so thankful for my testimony of the Gospel.  I am thankful for my knowledge and understand of my Savior and his Atonement in my life.  I am thankful for the healing powers in the atonement.
In some ways I wish I could freeze this time in my life but for now I will just count my blessings and enjoy the opportunity that I have been given.
