Winters

Briggs was asked to the Winters dance by a girl in our ward.  She goes to Bountiful High School so it was a little awkward for Briggs but he still had a lot of fun.  I think Briggs would be the funnest kid to take to a dance.  He knows how to dance and he is a lot of fun.  

One of the things they did for their date was gingerbread houses.  

Now Briggs is a procrastinator. He told us he was going to rent a suit for the dance.  We told him several times he needed to get in to get his rental.  When he finally went in they told him it was too late and they didn't have anything available.  So the day before the dance I was out running around trying to find something affordable for the dance.  

I felt so blessed when I found a pair of pants at Nordstrom Rack and a Suit coat that matched at Kohls.  The suit coat was a $250 coat that I found on the clearance race for $72, plus I had a $20 off coupon.  I really feel like it was a miracle that I found that jacket.    

This is the corsage I made for Briggs to give to his date.  I can't believe how much stores charge for corsages.  I can't watch my kids spend that much of their own money on one when I can make one for so much less.  Not to mention, I think mine are prettier. But that is just my opinion.
