Girls Camp 2022

Ila and I went to Girls camp together.  It was in Bear Lake.  

The girls had a water fight with over 1200 water balloons and a huge water slide.

The got to go horse back riding

We had a karaoke dance party.

The girls went on a hike 

We spent a couple afternoons at the lake, paddle boarding and playing cross net.  

And lastly a talent show and testimony meeting.  




This was a really fun camp. Im so happy this was Ilas first camp.  It was great to see Ila bond with so many of the girls.  It’s hard having Ila at a different school then the rest of the ward.  Unfortunately it isn’t because she is in a charter school because we are actually in different school boundaries than everyone else.  My boys have never really had “friends” in the ward.  I really hope Ila now spend more time with the girls in our ward.  

Cabin #2

After selling our last cabin we bought the lot next door.  Chad and Nichole decided they wanted to invest in a cabin also so they are 50% owners on it.  Originally we were planning to just sell the cabin again but with the changes in the economy I think we will end up using the cabin as a short term vacation rental.  

The Big Announcment

Avram got his mission call to Adelaide Australia!!!

Many years ago a girl in our ward received a mission call to Australia.  I thought that would be the perfect mission for Avram.  He has spent countless hours watching Steve Erwin and many other animal shows.  Avram loves Polynesians, and I understand there are a lot of Polynesians in Australia.  English speaking is a huge bonus for Avram.  

Anyway, Avram got his mission call one morning and he took Briggs up to the temple and they opened his mission call together.  They told me afterward that they had been jumping up and down and screaming because they were so excited about the mission call. 

We planned to have family and friends over later that evening where he would read his call to everyone.  It was torture for Adam and I to wait all day.  Avram called and said, “Mom all Im going to tell you is that when you hear my mission call you will know it is the perfect place for me.  I am really happy.”  I nearly started crying when I heard the joy in his voice.  

This was an answer to prayer for him to received this call.  It was all we could have hopped for. 

Avram begins his mission on Nov 7.  

Summer Vacation has begun

Summer vacation means outside work.  I dug out this water well and put bricks around it.  

The chickens are getting big! Of course I had to build their chicken coup. 

This is Sunday afternoon fifa competition. 

I love this picture of Amy.  It makes me happy to see her just hanging out.  We had Amy over for a sleep over the first night that Crystal and Pearl left for girls camp.  We left the following day so we had to take Amy home.  

I have no clue how Ila got this idea.  She stuffed a couple of stuffed animals in her pants.  

First 2022 trip to Bear Lake

Family reunion 2022, Bear Lake.  We had a lot of fun hanging out together.  Quentin loves Adam! He and Adam were the champions at cross net. 

Adam and Avram weren’t able to show up the first couple days and Briggs was in Belize.  So Ila and I had to represent the Prestwich family.
