Inside addition/ improvements

Above are two photos from before our remodel. This room was our large family room/play room/office.
It is now the boys room.  The boys share their bedroom.  Each boy has his own walk in closet along with a little desk area.
The punching bag hangs in the middle of their room.

All the kids use to share the bathroom with the blue plaid shower curtain.  That bathroom is now a pink girly bathroom room for Ila.
We used part of the laundry room in the basement to build a brand new, Avengers, bathroom for the boys.  It is a big bathroom with a nice large tub.
The boys old bunk bed bedroom is now a beautiful princess room.  This girl has no clue how good she's got it.

Ilas old room was cute but very crowded!  We have divided up her room into 3 different closets.

This is our front door and front room.  It use to be the largest room we had were we would gather as a family for FHE, scriptures and company.
This room has new flooring. The back door way was closed off, new paint, and a new window.  All the electrical in our home had to be redone.  There were live wires all over with in the walls of our home.  We were so blessed and protected so that our home did not burn down in the past 9 years.

From the front room you would pass through this barn door into the kitchen.  I wanted a barn door up so that I can hide my kitchen mess incase of unexpected company.

The kitchen is by far the biggest change, improvement and blessing we have in this home.  My kitchen was the size of a nice little hotel kitchenette.  Now it is 3 times bigger.  I was able to design a gorgeous kitchen where we all gather and love to have company join in.
I have a double oven! A beautiful farm sink and yes a 12 foot island.  This is truly a dream come true.

We use to have one window on our back wall.  Now we have windows that line the back wall of the house and we can look out at a beautiful view of the great Salt Lake.

On the left there is a large pantry behind that door.  I can fit about 3 months of food storage and all our food in there.  We removed the stair well which was narrow and short and built a brand new stair well at the back which is very wide.  There is also a beautiful secluded deck out the door by the stairs.

When we moved in 9 years ago we knocked down a wall in order to turn two bed rooms into one large master.  It is a nice room and honestly this is were we spent most of our time together but I hated walking into my room to find my boys and all their friends laying in my bed watching tv.
My closet was turned into a book shelf and we painted, got new flooring, electrical, and windows in this room.  The best part about this room is that now it is a bed room not a place where we hang out all day long.

Our old master bath was nice for a home built in the 1970s.  We had taken one bed room and turned it into a master bathroom.  It did the job but our new bathroom has more space and is so much more organized.

Our shower, shown below was just big enough for one person.  Don't drop the soap because it was a little tight trying to pick it up.

Our new shower is very roomy!  I even have a bench, which is super nice after surgery (yes this is something that has to be on my mind under the circumstance of my body)
I also added a washer and dryer into our master closet.  Heaven for those of us with bad hips and knees.
We did not have a good location for a master closet so we took a section of the entire length of the addition to make a dream closet.

Now some of the new additions that are HEAVENLY!
1st- The great room the is off of the kitchen.  Love it!!!

A Craft room in the basement!  A dream come true!!! I love it!!!
An amazing family room/ theater room in the basement.  LOVE IT!

There are still a few things that are not complete.   Like Ilas adorable play house under the stairs, so I will wait to show you the rest until it is finished.
