First

I took advantage of my kids being out of school this week.  They were on a random break that none of the other schools in the area do.  I took my boys and two of their friends from school to the slc temple to do baptisms for the dead.  I have never done baptisms in the slc temple.
Avram became a priest last month so he was able to baptize.  It was such an amazing opportunity to see Avram baptize Brigham.  Brigham ended up doing 40 baptisms! Avram was a trooper and was also willing to baptize all the girls that I bought which was another 55.
I hope and pray my boys will always be worthy to go to the temple.
While we were doing baptisms a big group of youth from my kids school came.  They were kids that in theater with Briggs.  It was awesome to know these are the kids my boys associate with everyday.

What a week

This week has been really busy.

This was the last week of Briggs play.  Each night different volunteers sign up to feed the cast, 45 kids, before the play.  Not many people are willing to help out and I hate when it falls back on the director.  I signed up for  meals.  So each day we full of a lot of cooking.  The kids were so appreciative for the food I bought in.  People that do sign up usually try to make an easy meal.. a lot of Mexican food and soups.   The kids went crazy over BBQ chicken, smoked pork, home made rolls, home made treats and cookies, hoagie sandwiches etc.
Avram ended up helping out at the play nearly every night.  The kids at Legacy have welcomed Avram and helped him feel so comfortable at the school.  Briggs has been really patient allowing Avram to hang out with him and his friends.  Avram thinks everyone is his friend.  One day one of the boys said to his director, Jules, "hey, if we can find a costume for Avram can he be in the play?"  She immediately answered, "yes."  My mouth dropped open.  I couldn't believe she was going to let Avram jump in.  She said, he has been here enough that he knows the show.  She told him he could be in the last two shows.  It was cute seeing Avram singing and dancing with the kids.  They were all so kind and helpful teaching him where he should go and what he should do.

This girl was Donkey in the other cast.

After the final show Ila and her friend, Julia, ran to the cast and wanted a picture with Donkey (Briggs).  It was so cute.

It was a fun show, great kids, an amazing director, and an awesome experience for both my boys.

Squeezing in some fun

Im still doing the monthly bulletin board for Ilas class.  This is Februarys board.

Adam has a supplier that sends us on a trip each year if he qualifies for it.  This year they sent us on a cruise.  We got to visit the Bahamas, St Kitts, and St Thomas.

On the Bahamas we went to the the Atlanta resort and played on some water slides.

In St Thomas I saw a cemetery not too far from the docks so I took advantage of it and I photographed 3/4 of it.  I didn't complete the entire cemetery because someone called the cops and they police came and made me leave.

In St Kitts we went on a great hike.

It was a lot of fun to get away with Adam but it was a really hard time to leave.  We missed several of Briggs plays.  Thankfully the show went for 2 1/2 weeks so we still made it to several shows.

Shrek

Briggs Advance musical theater group has started their play.  There are two casts.  Briggs is Donkey in one cast and he is a guard in the other cast.  He is so funny!

Sewing and Ballroom

I am the seamstress for the Ballroom team.  I know that is a scary thought because I am not good at sewing but Im all they have.  I made the shirt below in a couple of hours and without a pattern because they needed it for a competition asap.

Briggs competed in a ballroom competition at Provo High School.  He was in 3 group dances.  They won two 1st place awards and 1 6th place award.

Isn't he so cute!
